Event Description

We can get so busy working for a better world that we're tempted to neglect our need for rest.

At the beginning of Advent we'll purposefully take stock of the dark season we are in, and seek to (rest) in the midst of what is normally a crazy frenzy in the lead up to Christmas.

Welcome to join us in conversations about AKTion and contemplation, the lost art of relaxation, bringing rest to work, idling and moodling, massage, and the theology of rest. There'll be a fallow resting space, and experimental creative spaces too.

Come to the table, enjoy good company, mulled wine and minced pies, a cuppa and a chat. You never know what AKTions will come of the connections...

Positive mental health from childhood to later years is crucial to our quality of life at individual, family and community level. There is no health without mental health." ~ Michael McGimpsey, Health Minister

Food and Tea: provided

Wine: donation to the kitty.
